What's New At PSQ 5-18-11

Sandra Dallas At Batavia Library this SATURDAYBest selling author Sandra Dallas will be coming to the Batavia Library this Saturday, May 21 at 3 pm. The event is FREE but you must have tickets to attend (available at PSQ or the Batavia Public Library), and she will be talking about her new book, "The Bride's House".

If you haven't already ordered your copy, stop in the shop and pick up your copy. All of Ms. Dallas' novels are historically based and have characters who quilt (history and quilting - my two favorite things!). We will also have copies of the book available at the Batavia Public Library on May 21 when Ms. Dallas comes for an author talk and reading beginning at 3 pm. If you purchase your copy of "The Brides House" from PSQ, you will receive a number to have your book signed at the event.

PSQ is also hosting a "Meet the Author" reception at the shop at 6 pm. The cost for the reception is just $10 and include refreshments (including a great cake from Good Gracious Cakes) and the opportunity to meet the author one on one.

Fabric
Jolly Snowmen by Clothworks - More Christmas fabric is arriving every day and I'm going crazy. I LOVE IT ALL! Jolly Snowman is so cute and fun. The panel is adorable with...Snowmen (of course!), there's a fantastic border stripe that would be perfect to make the Easy Striped tablerunner pattern, several fun coordinates including two great plaids, some tone on tones with snowflakes and more! I took the panel home and just quilted it up with a great snowflake pantograph. So fast and easy! It's a great wall hanging and will make perfect gifts when the Holidays come around. Let me get the binding on and I'll post a picture of it on the blog. In the meantime, Janet is making up a sample of an adorable Christmas quilt featuring the panel in the middle and half square triangles on the top and bottom. Another quick and easy project that we have ALREADY kitted up! I'll post a picture of the quilt on the blog tomorow and we'll have the sample up in the store in the next week or so!

Christmas Traditions by Quilting Treasures - This Christmas line is hard to describe but is really pretty, unique and versatile. There is a panel that just needs to be quilted and bound to make a cute table topper and features Christmas designs through the ages. There are also fun Christmas cookies, tone on tones, plaids, checks and more.
